Barry M Instant Effects nail polish

My latest purchase, a little luxury that I wasn't sure would work, but OH BOY was I wrong! Its fantastic, easy to apply on any base nail polish and the effect on bright base nail colours is impressive and eye catching! Why not give it a go!

Barry M Instant Nail effects is new it is a simple to use nail paint that creates this amazing effect on your nails in one simple stroke. Or play around with it to create different effects. Price £3.99.

I used it with one of my favourite pink summer nail polish colours NYC Uptown, two coats of pink then one quick thick coat of Barry M Instant effects on top and wait for it to crack, once I was sure the crack effect has finished I topped with one coat of Seche Vite.  I'm looking forward to using this again with a different base colour.

Reuse and Recycle

Decided today to go back to basic colours and opted for a colour that will go with any outfit, its a colour that's  more demure and professional looking, not that I'm needing to look professional at the moment, but I like it..............its Recycle by China Glaze, this is a mid grey creme finish polish that glides on easily and is similar to so many other greys I know, but has the reassuring quality of being a China Glaze nail polish.

This polish is from China Glazes Spring collection in 2008, but I have decided to recycle this old colour and use it now for Winter 2010.

Will it make me inspired to recycle more, I hope so! Maybe I will be inspired enough to re-use and recycle  some of the may nail polish colours I have rather purchasing any more.

Applied base a coat and two coats of Recycle with Seche Vite topcoat.

After a few days this manicure got a little tired so I renewed the chipped tips with a coat of Barry M Bright Purple nail polish number 303

And then added a silver dividing line with Collection 2000 Maxiflex  Inca Silver number 248 nail polish

This kept my nail polish going for 3 more days and I enjoyed the crazy clash of colours.

My First Post

After spending months and months looking and learning from other peoples wonderful blogs I have decided to set up a blog of my own and share my nail polish loving with others, after years of biting my nails I have managed to stop biting and I now try to learn how to care for my nails and apply polish correctly.

Many thanks to all the other wonderful nail polish blogger's who share their love of nail polish.

For my first post on my blog I would like to share with you all this gorgeous green nail polish, now I would not normally go for green nails but this polish is simply gorgeous and very seasonal its a Guppy nail polish number 77 which is what I would call an olive green with a shimmer finish. Application is fantastic, just glides on smoothly and thinly with the easy to use brush, I did two coats but you could get away with one coat if you were in a hurry and it would look just as great.
